I have an '04 r1150gs. I'm looking for new tires this year, for a trip out to the badlands.

Im looking for long life 50/50 tires, like the heidenau k60, motoz tractionator, or the mitas e-07plus

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I swore off Dunlap moto tires many years ago due to a bad experience with them. Positive reviews on moto web sites of the Dunlap Trailmax Mission got me to try Dunlaps again and so far I am thrilled with them and I have found the new "go to" tire for my '07 R1200GSA.

I have the Dunlop Q5 on two sportbikes, the Q5S on two sportbikes, and the Roadsmart IV on the sportbike I use as a touring bike. Based on my experience with current Dunlop offerings, I have no doubt the Trailmax Mission is a good tire.

I am really happy with the Motoz GPS rear tire. Great life and surprisingly still good in the dirt.

I have a Trailmax Mission on the front of my KTM 890 Adventure and its terrible.. Tire life hasn't been great, it wanders into rain groves and it doesn't give much confidence in the turns. Your results may vary on a 17" front wheel. I have a new set of wheels going on next week with some Motoz in the front. Just my opinion. I'll deal with front end wandering on knobby tires but not 50/50 tires.

2004 R1150 - Im surprised youre not going the Shinko 804/805 route haha. Remember when everybody swore by that combo.

I agree with @02SE Roadsmarts are good but not an ADV tire.

Tusk for me! I've had the DSports and the Way Points and got over 5K mikes on each. These are on a 701 and about 90% road miles. Can't beat that for $160 a set. They are quiet and do great on all surfaces.
