Looks like I will again be returning to Adesa USA today in Manville, NJ.

So, I will start the thread: How does the "auctioneer to dealer" process work?

I will be on delivery, not auction, today.

This is their lobby...

I see companies such as OneMain Financial Remarketing, etc. They.. sell to the dealers?

I used to attend the auction in Tampa FL a lot. At one time they had a dozen lanes open at once, over 200 drivers just to shuttle the cars.

A great scene, everyone should see it once.

Yes, they sell mostly to dealers. I am certain that very few like me bought cars there...

I owned two dealer only auctions as late as 2004.

In my state, an auction is just another used car dealer.

You take the cars in on consignment, clean them up for for a fee, if need be, sell them, process the titles/liens, deliver the titles to the purchasing dealer, start over again.

Once in a while I'd work the ring if staff was short.

Public auctions are for the junk stuff.

Hey all. Easy work today. Sitting toasty in a 2013 Cadillac CTS Coupe at 90 degrees and it is like 25 out. We are collecting all the sold cars and I am waiting on the lot van to come get me.

Cars drove today (for a minute:)

1. 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 Laredo
2. 2011 Cadillac SRX
3. 2013 Cadillac CTS Coupe.

Good day so far. Will put this away before anyone comes.
