Well, the day I buy a car finally happended this past Friday. I came across a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta 1.8T that was to good of a deal to pass up. I've read the types of common problems that these cars have and from what I've seen I'm getting quite a reliable car, as long as I don't abuse it. I had it checked out at the only repair shop in the state I still trust and everything checked out, including new suspension and new brakes, not to mention a new battery. I'm piking it up on Thursday and I'll try to post some pictures. First order of business is an oil change with Mobil 1 0w40, and then maybe a little fun with the turbo'd motor. Fast little car to say the least!

get yourself a spare n75 and a meter or two of vacuum hose and you're good to go. until you get used to it and start thinking of downpipes and remaps..

First thing check your diverter valve, they are notorious on those engines.
