Action lags?

I've noticed lately that there is a lag between an action, and the results being returned.

One example -- peruse the New Posts list, click on the link to the last post that occurred one minute ago, and it displays a post from further back in history, not the new one, which is nowhere to be seen.

Acting like there is a something akin to profanity delay at work, like used in broadcasting, and things aren't behaving like they're "live."

It's not consistent, but does occur.

Thank you for letting me know. I know exactly what it is and will make a change in a minute to cause less of a delay. The delay will not completely go away, because it's caused by some caching we do to reduce the load on the SQL server.

You'll see a maximum delay now of 600 seconds. We can't set it much lower than that, unfortunately.
I set it to 30 seconds just to see how it behaves. I think we'll leave it there until we have a reason to change it.
