over deathcap poisonings. http://www.canberratimes.com.au/news/loc...ns/2411615.aspx Nuts...if chefs are picking wild deathcaps, thinking them straw mushrooms, and cooking them, how can the public not be at risk ? Maybe not from the meal that the now dead chef and his mates ate, but there's more than "none", particularly as there's now an education campaign to teach asian chefs that there's a problem.
 
In the days after 9/11 our elected officials told us the air was perfectly safe....we now know that they were LYING....

Interestingly, the French have the highest rate of deathcap poisoning in the world (not surprising), but they are treating it more successfully than any one else as well. Massive doses of vitamin C, as in 10s of grammes, spread over the day(s) appears to help the body with the toxins. (Just added that with the Vit D thread going).
