I'm having a hard time following the acronyms on this site. Is there a FAQ somewhere to describe them.

For example PP=Penzoil Platinum, GC = Germal Castrol

Thanks

How bout these:

Grp II=dino oil
Grp III synthetic=hydrocracked dino oil
Grp IV synthetic=PAO synthetic oil
Grp V synthetic=ester based synthetic oil

Did I word that right?????

Wow...and I thought SLOB was just a SLOB...

Thanks everyone - very helpful.

If I might suggest - it would be nice to have an acronym list as a sticky for new members.

Amsoil SSO - Signature Series Oil
PYB - Pennzoil Yellow Bottle (Dino)

Admins/Mods:

As a relative newb myself, I think it would be *great* if this cleaned up and had all of the replies aggregated into one response, and was made into a sticky at the top of the forum.

:)
