A neighbor asked me to recharge his AC in his 95 Neon sedan. I have not had a chance to go take a look and he does not know enough about cars to tell me if it takes R134A or not...does anyone know? I would imagine it does, but realize being a 10-year-old econobox it may take R12.

According to a few threads I read on Allpar.com, it's 135a. You'll know by the size of the fittings, as well as the sticker somewhere under the hood

Chrysler converted in model year 93. Look at the schraeder valves (the fill valves). If it is about the size of a tire air valve, it is r12. Bigger = r134a.
