Just checking in with an update on the AC Delco Professional water pump I replaced on my 2005 Ford Taurus 6 years ago. The water pump has 55,000 miles on it.

I changed my coolant last year, draining the Prestone 5 year coolant and putting in a mixture of left over Prestone 5 year and Prestone 10 year mixed at over 60 % coolant. Photo of the testing tool and new coolant attached.

The car has 120,000 miles on it. Enjoy the photos.

I installed an OE GM in 2019, and we have about 45k on it. Original failed at 80k. Key difference was it was Made in Canada over the professional Made in China, and it had the 6 tty bolts included. The bolts were $4 ea at the dealer and at the time the pump was $116. I hope that in the 8 years that passed, the part got fixed, cuz GM extended the warranty on the cars that had our pump.

really the included bolts is why I chose the part, over say Gates...

also used Dexcool
