AAP Total grip

So how many of you folks remember the AAP Total Grip filters? Can't say as I do honestly.

I still have some.

I remember they went on sale like clockwork in January for 1/2 off. $1.44 each.

We were excited at the time because they were awesome Purolators inside, and could grip our filter cans without them being Frams.

Used the last of them I had on the '01 Focus a couple of years ago.
They were clearanced out dirt cheap.
All red typewriter paint can.

I bought a bunch too, good filters. The last one I have remains on my 19 horse Kohler.

And this year, you could have stocked up on Drive Works. I still have one AAP Total Grip for my Dodge yet. Don't know if I ll ever use it.

Some stores still have Driveworks.

I got a few of the driveworks filters for free from advance auto this year, with purchase of 5 quarts of oil.

Now I see they are going for about $1.87 each for my application. Made in china.
