so we washed my wife's Elantra really well, and applied some Klasse AIO, and it turned out really nice ... (it's a black car), so easy to apply, and what a great shine withing minutes!

and then we drive home, and A THUNDERSTORM STARTS !!! I MEAN A FRIGGIN' STRONG T-STORM THAT caused some power outages...and it POURED on the car!

--insert very bad words here----

so...what now? I mean, when we drove off, the Klasse was buffed off. could the rain have ruined everything we did? or did Klasse already do its job so that the finish that we achieved will remain tomorrow despite the rain ?

if not, what would it look like tomorrow, after the rain?
should I just apply anther layer of Klasse if it doesn't look good, but nothing more than what rain caused?
i mean, it IS only rain that got on it...the car WAS clean before the Klasse was applied.

(Or do I have to wash the car again before doing another Klasse round?)

oh btw, we checked the weather forecast b4 we did all that: it said 0% chance of rain here! 0% my A$$

It's just the finish. Paint is a protective coating to prevent premature rusting of the body.

Please don't take this the wrong way.
I have neighbors like you that provide me with much amusement. The car will be fine. Your pocketbook and sense of accomplishmet may suffer.

Thanks, and err... I sort of knew that...

I was just asking, if I want to restore the FINISH back to what it was BEFORE THE RAIN, and given that the finish doesn't look dirty, should I just apply Klasse again, or should I wash the car AGAIN, and THEN apply Klasse AIO?

Wash first to remove any light dirt or whatever that may have accumulated on the paint. If the car looks good and you're happy, you can leave it as is. The Klasse is protecting the paint just fine.

If you want that "just detailed" look again, another application of Klasse would be fine. It should go on and come off real easy as you already have a coat on the paint now. The whole process shouldn't take more than an hour or so.

I know exactly how you feel. I did a quickie detail on my Q45 earlier this week with some Mothers products. It's rained every afternoon since Thurs. Drove it tonight and it was nice to see the water blow off the paint but I know the car is a bit of a mess again. A quick wash tomorrow, a couple squirts of Mothers FX spray wax and it'll look sharp again, no problem.

If you let the wax dry, then it is bonded to the paint. Rain won't rinse it off. I'd just go over the car with a "quick detailer" and call it a day!

Just went outside: Looks fine, just water (rain) on it, no dirt even, and water is beaded nicely everywhere.
I think I'll just leave it as it is...

did a closer inspection:
the water beads are all gone now...no spots of any kind, and the finish looks just as it did before the rain.

Rest assured. All of your hard work was not done in spite. If anything, the rain helped the Klasse to bond even better to the paint. Trust me and the others here with their opinions. Everything is just fine.
Always rewash before reapplying wax/silicone products again. Never reapply a product after a rain or any other time for that matter until the paint is perfectly clean. As others here have mentioned, use a detail product between waxings(after washing of course!). The car will always POP!
