Click on http://auto-rx.activeboard.com/ and you will find Auto-Rx info both in engine and transmission sections. These posts are very informative. You have the option of posting your question and getting answers from car owners-mechanics-lubrication specialists.

There is no more informative place to have your question answered.

This link saves everyone from posting repetitive questions.

I know some questions that are asked would be answered by reading the FAQs, but it seems that too often, any ARX question asked is answered with "read the FAQ" or "see the website", whether the answer appears there or not.

I don't mind helping people along with it. I do however think the instructions are overly complicated. How about: add a bottle ARX at oil change? Do another oil change w/o auto-r. If you want, do a full bottle again or in any proportion you desire.

I agree thats why we posted the link. Why don't you give it a try ? I am sure your all tired of read the FAQ etc and we are trying hard to give you access to answers.

Application Instructions can be simpler and we are working on that.

I'm waiting until the spring to begin a auto-rx treatment in my F150 w/ 76k miles.

...unless I can do it now

Will ARX help a motor that has 50k miles and has used Penzoil Yb and GC 0w-30 all its life, I think its spotless but who knows, I tend to over do it, thats why I'm here, I plan on keeping it forever

There are some strange posts on the auto-rx forum, suggesting that the person who wrote them thinks they know more about automatic transmissions than they actually do. Yet, nobody questions them to set the record straight, perhaps because the strange post is by a moderator.

That is one reason we like BITOG!

BITOGers are not afraid to be corrected, or challenge an assertion.

I am sorry, Frank, but auto-rx questions will continue to appear on BITOG.

The repetitive questions will not stop. New people are constantly "coming and going". This is just the way it is. I personally think it is a good thing. I see repetitive questions but i will still click on them and read the responses, there is always room to learn new things. I don't post much, but I scroll through the different topics quite a bit. These questions are not repetitive for a new member, and they should not be shorted on responses.

Well, it won't stop because people can't f***ing read. You could post a million stickys about how they shouldn't ask repetitive questions, but they still will. Sometimes the FAQ on the website doesn't answer questions that aren't as simple as "how to use it?", which I see as a good reason for them to keep asking questions.

Also, if you're going to be in the industry where you sell a product, expect tons of repeat questions, and don't complain, no matter how aggravating it is.

I noticed that people find it easier to type two sentences to ask a question than to do the homework and search archived information or the linked site for the information they need.

+1

It goes with the turf, especially if you're selling a higher priced specialty item. It's human nature, and it can't be changed.

The point is that Auto-Rx has lots of "use' information on it's message board. Plus much is from mechanics and lubrication specialists and this type of information can be easily accessed.

Some bitog members want less Auto-Rx Posts on bitog. Auto-Rx is so inexpensive when you understand how to use it. 1 ounce for a power steering unit (2 if you have a leak ) 6 ounces for a transmission cleaning.

Price those type services at your local garage.

I hear you, and try and stay as far from repair shops as possible!

Happy New Year!

I agree to a certain extent with ConfederateTyrant.

I know that sometimes I am looking for info that I can't find. When I look for power steering leak fix I don't see it under seal leak or power steering on the RX site.

Maybe the power steering leaks instructions could be shown with "Seal Leaks Application Instructions"

Maybe, but only if those dings weren't made a by a T-Rex.

I don't know if this has been asked before, but is it just me, or does A-RX smell really very much like lanolin? I remember it's been mentioned that A-RX is made from a sheep byproduct, which lanolin is of course. So, am I right? Do I get a cookie?

I don't think you understood what Frank was saying. Frank was responding to people who go on about the repetitive arx posts on here. He's just reminding everyone there is another outlet. By all means, if you think info on the arx website on a particular issue might be suspect, I don't think Frank is telling you NOT to ask the question anywhere else.

You should be directing your apology to the people on here who ask why arx is the only thing discussed in this forum.

Yes some don't attempt the most basic search at BTOG or the RX site. I normally attempt at least a rudimentary search.

So yes that would be nice but you know how lazy all us Americans are..............

BrianWC IMO Frank was responding that way because of a few people whining about all the same AutoRX questions. He was taking the high road IMO. Every board on here is repetitive. Every board here gets the same questions over and over and over again. Also the same repetitive answers by the same people. Why should anyone single out AutoRX? Really, why should anyone care?

If one doesn't like it or doesn't want to read the same questions or answers over and over then one doesn't have to.

It really is that simple folks........

AutoRX, Marvel Mystery, Rislone, Seafoam, Lubegurd, Amsoil...that's about 95% of the products out there. Most except AutoRX get trashed here so very few posts show up about products other than AutoRX.

BTW I have used Rislone, Lubegurd. MM and AutoRX and have posted as such.
