When sizing a link style watch bracelet many are marked with a direction arrow on the back side. My question is the arrow the direction of removal or insertion.?

The arrow shows you which way to push the pin out and in. In other words, push out in the direction that the arrow is pointing. And, push in likewise.

Sorry but I don't think so. I believe you push the pin out in the direction of the arrow and push it back in the other way.

There are a number of you tube videos you can find depending on the brand of watch.

thanks, that is probably why I keep ruining pins.

Notice the shape of the pins. Some are tapered. Some are roll pins and others are very different all together and can only be put in one way and taken out another. Instructions would help. Consult your watchband instructions.
My watch is a Citizen with a Citizen band. That is the procedure that I described above.

^This.

Marc, from Long Island Watch dot com (watch the video and you'll get the reference) has a bunch of YouTube videos with various educational topics. He did one on the different options one may face when sizing watch bands.
