A little shot of my speedo from earlier today on the Autobahn in my 2023 Nissan Armada.
Took a trip from Kaiserslautern to Neunkirchen so my GF could go shopping at the SaarCenter Mall.

I didnt drive this speed all the way, but a lot of the way, due to light traffic.
That Nissan V8 just wanted to keep on pulling.

Oil: Royal Purple 0w-40
Filter: Fram Ultra Synthetic 7317
External Temperature approx 26C
Elevation maybe 1000 feet.

Cool. I've done that many times. It is fun. Really have to pick a time when traffic is light. The Germans move over for you, but I found I have to be close before they move.

I Feel The Need For Speed. Guess what is coming to my mind, the scene from the Blues Brothers Movie with the speedometer at 120

Sweet. Would love to drive on the Autobahn. A nearby toll road to me is 85mph but is generally full of vehicles driven by idiots mostly.

She should have captured the tach too! My Maxima had a limited somewhere around there, but I assume being a euro spec that Armada is higher?

How much does gasoline cost in Germany?
Converted from Euro/Liter to US measurements about 8 Dollars a Gallon for Premium.

This is also the reason why some people ehre seem to think I am a Millionaire, because those are the only types who would even think abut dring a 2.6 metric ton empty weight, 400 hp V8 full size 4x4, SUV here.
It's the ultimate snobbery here.

There is some grey market importation of US spec Nissan Armadas and Middle Eastern spec Nissan Patrols (essentially same vehicle) to Germany.
But only people with deep pockets get them so they are quite rare.

I've driven on Autobahn, the ability to go so fast makes the normal speed of 130km/h seem like walking. I was using a company car, a diesel ford and the speedo was very optimistic, the GPS we had showed that we never got over 195km/h when the speedo showed 210.

Ouch 8$ is steep

I always thought 80 was the highest in the US. I learned something new.
A few years back when it opened it was the highest in the U.S. That may have changed now as maybe some other state(s) have adopted 85mph in certain areas.

The highest speed limit in the United States is 85 mph, found on a specific section of Texas State Highway 130. This 41-mile stretch is between State Highway 45 near Austin and Interstate 10 in Seguin.

According to AI
Wikipedia says the same basically
