Yes it is, if they are that ignorant.
Everyone is ignorant, just in different ways.
The biggest example of ignorance she showed was believing a mechanic from Midas.

About 10 years ago, another Detroit morning radio show ran a prank of spreading rumors that a virus was spreading from car to car by use of the gas pumps. And that this virus affected the car's computer and showed up as wierd electrical glitches with the car. They used a believeable reporting style.
Some people onto this prank called the radio show and fanned the flames with believable stories, saying they've been experiencing just such a virus. One guy called in saying that their automotive engineering center was on top of this problem, trying to find a cure for this virus!!
The kicker was when this clueless 'blonde' called in saying that she was experiencing this exact problem with her Honda. She was very ticked off with her mechanic because he didn't take her seriously after she described her car was infected with a virus that was spreading from car to car via contaminated gas pumps!!!!!
