One gallon for under $30 isn't a tough threshold to beat. Pretty much everyone has a 5W-40 gallon under 30, including the boutiques.

Delvac 1 isn't a group IV oil anymore since they rolled out the CK-4 formula. It's group III now just like all the other Walmart cheap oils. A cursory glance at the SDS will confirm this.

If your looking for a 5w40 HDEO with a big slug of PAO in the mix you're going to need get something from Ravenol, Kendall, Amsoil, and maybe Schaefer (if they still use it) and it's gonna be > $30/gallon

Mobil Delvac is one of the most highly regarded and highly purchased motor oils in the trucking industry. They don't bother wth boutique oils.
"Cheap Walmart oil" ? I think not.

I do agree one *should* be getting what they are paying for.
