A lady picks up shooting as a new hobby after cycling accident

A lady lost her ability to speak English after brain injury and found herself shooting to improve her brain to focus. It's a bit of a long read and near the end of the article she's quoted saying:

"Shooting has been described as skilled meditation, and I think that is very true because you have to focus completely on what you're doing. If your brain goes off and ruminates or meanders then your bullets do the same..."

I have to agree with you. I have a lifetime pass to my friend's store with an indoor range and I hardly ever go. Even with my Peltor electronic headphones and earplugs the sound still gets to me.

Same with ith outdoor ranges when the guy next to you is shooting .357 magnums.
 
Thats all part of training -

Being able to perform creeskside alone or with no external random jarring input is much easier than performing with random blasts all around.
