A few relics...are they worth anything or do I open and use them?

The icing on the cake to use them is when I cleaned the bottles up. The labels weren't in the greatest shape. But it did allow an opportunity to take better pics of the older bottles that had glare from my first images.

^^^It's weird seeing a seal on a quart bottle.

Use them . I have a 300 inline Ford F150 and if I had these they would be used for next oil change, notwithstanding that I believe Ford now specs a 5w 20 variety for these old workhorses .
Yes I couldn’t believe Ford now specs 5w20 for my 1994 E150 5.8L conversion van. Original spec was 5w30. Neither are used, I go with mobile 1 0w40 euro synthetic in about everything.

They may be worth something in a number of years to collectors. I've got a complete case of Chevron Supreme 10W-30 SL which for one reason or another never started to use. As others have mentioned, good lawn mower oil. Older oil, still in cans, if one has any, is actually worth something these days to collectors. Still have a few cans of Quaker State Deluxe 10w-40 SD oil in the fiber sided cans, which unfortunately have begun to seep slightly. Not sure what I'll do with it. Old oil in the full metal cans would be ice to have in limited quantities.

I found a new Qt. of 10-40 Arco Graphite in my stash last week. Used it in a VW bus in the 70's. It still isn't leaking but it'll be a huge mess when it does.

As others have mentioned, oil flushes, lawnmowers, top off oil, etc.

But definitely use.

Another decent idea, a sacrificial oil. But I have an application that would love the ZDDP content in these oils, so that's why I was leaning toward using them. It has an 8 quart sump, and I already used one bottle as a sacrificial oil. On something else, so it would have two fresh quarts along with these remaining 6.

Another use vote.
Use and Keep a few empty bottles in garage for nostalgia. Use them in your older car. No reason not to.
