it says just turn the key , no foot on gas.

then it says in summer (?) if withing 25 min of driving the car, fully press the gas pedal and then start it..
whats going on mechanically for the owners manual to require this?

I know a lot of cars have a "clear flood" mode where if the engine is flooded and won't start, you floor the gas while cranking it. This shuts the fuel injectors off until the engine starts. I don't know why Nissan would recommend doing this on a regular basis though.

that isnt the full quote, I'm guessing that it has to do with the engine is hard to restart.

These manuals aren't in very good english sometimes and many syntax errors creep in.

If the engine is very hard to start in
extremely cold or hot weather, depress
the accelerator pedal and hold it
to help start the engine.
In the summer, when restarting the
engine within 30 minutes after it has
been stopped, keep the accelerator
pedal fully depressed while starting.

You guys ever see a manual for a Chinese imported tool or machine that has been translated to English? They are quite funny.

my old Chevy had a clear and actually a more fuel mode too.
