99 Crown Vic LX, 5w20???

astro vic, i own three now 98 expy,vic,and conti. and prior town cars..you guys just don't make any sense sm oils are not for the older cars that are rated sg or sh? far more additives in these oils..spunky has a 99 vic.....we see a inc. in cam wear with sm oils...call names makes you children feel good..whatever toots your horn

If this was true, wouldn't Ford be reccomending and selling sh/sg-style oils for the 2006 Vic?

My 97' T-bird with the 4.6 is back-spec'd for the 5w20.

Even though i don't use it i may consider it an option.
