Just finished replacing the drivers side door stop. It finally broke after 12 yrs. Fortunately, there was no damage to my A pillar. When I removed the old, one of the mounting studs plate was cracked in half. Made multiple, loud POPPING sounds when opening the door.
Picked up the part at my local dealer as it was within $5 of mail-order with shipping.

When doing this be sure to lube the rollers and grease the door catch on both sides as access will be severely restricted once installed. I found it helpful to fold the tab that attaches to the A pillar "closed" (back onto the arm it's attached to) and turn the stop 90 degrees so it fits through the door.
