I'm having some transmission issues in my 94 Chevy 1/2ton 4x4. I'm thinking the trans is gone but just wanted some opinions before I pull it for rebuilding.
This is a rebuilt trans that has 60,000 miles on it, 4L60E. Reverse, 1st, 2nd work and shift good. The problem is when it shifts to 3rd, I can't feel it shift to 3rd and when it does it just revs high and doesn't pull. I know it's going into 3rd because 2nd works fine.
Does this sound like the 3rd gear clutch pack is gone? Could this be a shift solenoid issue?
