NOT a GM ISSUE - this is a function of Direct injection and affects vehicles in varying degrees of severity.

you can find one of these videos on virtually every make that uses direct injection.

This is why Ive added a catch can. And using oil that minimizes EGR vapors also helps.

Yeah, I got that too. I've seen so many of these that it's hit or miss as to level of build up and if it causes drivability issues or not. No hard fast rule.

I wouldnt let these guys get within 100 feet of my truck! All the crud that they brake loose but dont recover goes into the cylinder. Not ideal.

My 2018 EB F150 has dual injection, sure hope it keeps that at bay. I know it stays in port injection in the lower power setting so maybe there is hope.

That's why I use CRC every 10 000kms.
We have 2 gdi short trippers.
