92 Corvette LT1 best oil??

Guys,
My mate has a 92 LT1 Vette and i told him i'd ask you guys which oil suits it best.
At the moment he's using Valvoline Syn power 5-30.
Is it any good or is Mobil better??
Any other suggestions

My choices would be: Mobil 1 5w/10w-30, German Castrol, Amsoil 5w/10w-30. If Mobil 1 is more readily available, use that. Also, the Mobil 1 0w-40 would be a good option as well.

I'm getting excellent results in my LT1 engine using German Castrol 0w30 (over there you guys know it as Formula SLX 0w30) but you also have Castrol 0w40 over there which would be an excellent choice.

I do know the LT1 engine seems to really like an oil that is a thick 30wt to mid 40wt oil, so something like Synpower 5w30 or Mobil 1 5w30 is too thin, but Mobil 1 0w40, Synpower 5w40, Castrol 5w40 would be good. Anything between about 12cst at 100c and 14cst at 100c is just about perfect.
