Two things about the first sample. It was the rinse sample from A-Rx. Engine valve cover and oil pan gaskets had been replaced with silicone Fel-Pro gaskets.

The second sample is from my supply of Valvoline rebate oils I gathered. I would have let it run longer except I have plenty oil and I was worried about this UOA, since the first was so bad. This oil ran from Dec 04 to date. Used mostly in commuting about 9 miles on the highway.

The oil filter on this interval has a lot of gritty dark material in the can and in the pleats. Will the Auto-Rx continue to clean for several OCIs ? Actually this is about 6000 miles since the end of the rinse cycle.

Any Comments ?

Amazing reduction in wear metals as a result of Auto-RXing your engine

I'd be happy!

Yes. Looks much better than the first report.

I conclude that the first results were skewed by the cleaned materials liberated into the oil by the A-Rx, and by the effect of the silicone gaskets on the Silicon levels.

For now, it's going to be continue ahead.

The Sodium/ Potassium levels bear watching though.

Agreed ?

It would have been nice to have a pre-Auto-Rx UOA to compare, Still, given your low mileage for that long a duration of time I think this is a decent UOA.
