Looks like grandma is going to be headed back to rent-n-roll for some new DUBS, maybe she can upgrade to some 24's this time.....

The kid just doesn't have any understanding of what happened. They should put him to work until he pays off all the damages so he can comprehend the relative magnitude of what he did.

Amazing isn't it? He has no concept of why it was wrong! lol

That durango looked ridiculous. That said, the grandmother has a good point - if she didnt think she would go to jail, she would punish him.

The kid is an idiot, and likely since they dont show the mother, she is a total tool as well. Unfortunately, what can you really do???

For better or worse, the kid might end up dead if he continues thinking that doing bad things is 'cool', and that he can do whatever he wants. Wonder where he gets that from??

I said to my fiancee last night this kid will be in jail if they can't get to him now. Luckily he didn't run over any people so I can laugh at it.

I want to know how a curb can rip the front axle out from under a Durango. You'd think a truck-based vehicle could take the abuse better.

I'm amazed (I've seen this before). Usually the dangerous age is 11-13. There they're, more or less, physically an adult in terms of ability ..but none of the experience base to know too much in terms of potential outcomes.

This kid obviously had a very limited social view. Being good appears boring to him. Being good gives him no sense of benefit. Now except for the modality of the excursion, and the justification that he produced, it's not unlike a walk in the woods that a friend of mine and I took that had the whole town looking for us.

A little more on his explanation/justification sound bite: He really views the world in a television like manner. That is, it's truth as he sees it. The world appears more interesting with "bad" things in it.
