'68 Toronado

A friend of my parents had one and it was such a neat car to look at and ride in! I also remember it having really cold air conditioning!

What a beautiful car! I don't think I've ever seen one of these in person...I love the color on this one and it's in all original condition including the original tires! Check out that speedometer!

Beautiful cars along with its cousins the Eldorado and the RWD Riviera. The era of bespoke engines was a great era, the Olds 455, Buick 430 and Caddy 429, 472 and 500 were all unique to their respective divisions, real torque monsters for their time.

Which thing?
YouTube the new Wild West Frontier of hucksterism. That sales group are highly suspect low-lifes.

Bill Mitchell's Riviera and Toronado were highly style show cars for the general public.
They are considered to be with elite company - in the top dozen or so - as the best styled cars ever produced.

I also have read the Those great sounding, smole belching Municipal Buses from the 70's with the Supercharged Detroit 2-stroke V6 Diesel used that GM transmission.
So It must have been rugged, I have not verified that 2nd hand info.

Now you get a Hyundai Elantra :)

My friend back in the day had a 67 Eldo it was a plush car. FWD is great foe econoboxes though.

Weird...just got home and was thinking of the day very soon that
I do my favorite ground up restoration on a 68 Tornado.
