Hi guys, I hope somebody can help easily identify this sound please (and severity of it being an issue, if any).

62TE transmission on Ram Promaster 3500 - I've recently noticed 5 distinct chirps/squeaks when shifted to Drive with the vehicle not moving (sitting with the brake pedal pressed before driving away). The sounds is pretty subtle, but obvious if you are at the front bumper or it's very quiet out. It goes away when shifting back to park, also not there on cold start idling. It appears to be coming from the transmission area. Vehicle drives and shifts as it always has for the past 25k miles, no other sounds or codes, no CEL. Does anybody have any experience with this sound, or a similar vehicle/transmission where they would be willing to check if theirs makes a similar sound when first shifting into drive, but vehicle isn't moving please?

You can hear it here:

Thanks!

Andrew

That sounds like electronic controls by the consistent timing. A solenoid?
I appreciate the reply, and that's what I was thinking as well. I'm wondering that if it is a solenoid, if it sounds normal or "strained", given that all other functionality seems fine? Does anybody have this experience with the 62te to be able to make a guess please?

Is this vehicle new to you or has it just started doing it?

Doing some general searching online gives me several results for torque converter issues but I couldn't find anything with a noise quite like that.

I've had it for 30k miles, and I'm pretty sure it's been making that sounds for a while now. It's pretty subtle and could have been making it the whole time and I just haven't noticed. It drives fine to the best of my knowledge, might just get it checked out and keep driving it unless something obvious pops up. I'm mostly just trying to get a sanity check here if anybody else has a similar experience either way.
