5w30 vs. Penz. 10w-30 syth.

Have a question here,they recommend 5w-30 for my
truck and been using Mobil,I was in Wally world and they had Penzoil 10w-30 Synt. oil for 18.88 for a 5 gal.Thinking about switching over and extending my oil change to 8000 miles and a filter change at 4000.Plus was thinking about sending my oil in to get it checked out for. A guy here has Shaffers on hand.Like to hear your opinions about it.

The pennzoil synthetic will not have the extended drain capability that Mobil 1 does, so you better sample at around 4,000-5,000 and see where you need to go from there.

Do you mean synth or high-miles or blend?
