Since all I've seen of C/S 10W-30 over the past five months doesstate "ISOSYN" right on the bottles, I suspect the data sheet you have for that viscisity range hasn't been brought up to date. Do you recall whether there was a release date on that 10W-30 PDS and what it was? (I never associated Chevron Oil with playing quality games once they'd established a standard, but I s'pose anything's possible...Quote:
OH KNOW NOT AGAIN!!! I was looking at Chevrons data sheets and now, the 5w-30 data sheet clearly states it's made with Isosyn basestock, where as the 10w-30 does not.
I'm starting to come around into believing 5w-30 is a superior oil even in hot climates since it's made with more refined basestocks.
