With a turbocharged engine I would not use anything but a high quality synthetic oil, even though Hyundai does not require synthetic at their very short OCI. P.S. I tend to run this little engine like I am mad at it, and it loves it. The 2.0t is rated to run on 87 octane, but does produce about 10 HP more, plus more midrange torque on 93 octane. I choose to run 93 always.
merlin1650 is correct,
Synthetic is not required by Hyundai and API-SN/ILSAC GF-5 oil certifications were formulated with turbo protection in mind. We do not run synthectic exclusively in the Santa Fe Sport 2.0T becuase my wife isn't hard on the vehicle, but if either of us drove it like my old Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII, it would get 0W-40 all the time. Usually Castrol 0w-40. But that car was tracked, this car autocrosses the nearby grocery parking lot, LOL.
