4qts 5-30 and 1qt 5-20, Problem?

So its time for an oil change and I have 5qts of valvoline synpower , 4 which are 5-30 and 1 which is 5-20. Any thing wrong with running the mix in my chevy colorado?

I don't see a problem. Running mixed weights is better than having your vehicle a quart low. Next time, try practicing using all the oil in the factory recommended weight to avoid questioning yourself.

I do it all the time with 5w30 and 5w-20 being very similar formulas.

I'm sure it's fine as your car won't feel the difference. I admit though I do mix my oils. You have a good synthetic so take advantage of it and use it. Synthetic oil is expensive.

What you will get is 5w30 oil with a 40C cSt of 56.84, a 100C cSt of 10.25, and a VI of 172.

This is a weaker oil than I would use but it is still in specks for the GM 4 or 5 cyl Colorado engines. I forgot to look and see if it meets GM 6094. It does not meet 4718.

It does not say that it meets GM 6094 on the Valvoline web site. It is not on the GM approved list but that changes often.
