I am using Mobil 1 10w-30 in my Mazda Miata and the inside looks clean as can be. I would like to duplicate this in my 97 Honda Accord.
I have done 2 auto-rx cleanings on it and have Delo 400 in it now to finish cleaning it. If I use Mobil 1 will I see this same clean as can be look in it I see in my Miata? It has 117,000 and burns no oil and runs great. It had some minor sludge I could see during the auto-rx in the valve cover. It was completely varnished and most of the varnish is now gone. Just wondered if I could get the same spotless engine in the Honda over time. Thanks.

I've got a '95 4 cylinder. Looking through the valve cover, the non-moving/indirectly lubed parts are completely varnished. The cam lobes are bright and shiny though. There used to be tiny little spots of carbon (the size of maybe, 5 or 10 grains of sand clumped together) on the non-moving parts under there, and little carbon rings around bolts. Using various syn oils, nothing much happened down there. Since I've started using LC, the little spots have disappeared, and the rings around the bolts have started shrinking.

It also seems to be doing a tiny little bit for the varnish, but not much. I've been using LC for about 10k miles.

In my 97 4 Cyl Accord I have been running M1 at 5000-8000 intervals since it was new. When I adjusted the valves a few weeks ago. Everything under the valve cover looked brand new.

Yup, i have a 94 f22b engine I believe in my accord. (4 banger...) 190k, started using mobil 1 at about 175k I believe. At first, it burned a little oil. After the 3rd oil change, everything was kosher. try it and you will like it!
