3,000 miles to soon for a toyota to go 5000 oci?

this is my wife's 05 tundra double cab 4.7l v8
i changed the factory fill out at just under 1000 miles w/ castrol gtx 5w30 and just changed it again w/ 3k miles on the engine. i put in shaeffer's 5w30. i now plan on starting 5000 mile oci's (per toyota warranty) w/ analysis at least for the first few changes.

what's the general concensus, is it still to soon for a 5000 mile oci?

It will be fine. 5k mile OCI's on Walmart Supertech at this point on that engine will give you awesome results. No need for a lengthy break in to make recomended factory intervals with modern high quality motors.
