Im going to change the oil in my 03 I6 TJ next month to the Delvac 5W40(w/ a Baldwin B2HPG). When I do, what would be the best way to get a sample to do a mid run analysis? Id hate to have to drain 1/2-1Qt out as this engine takes 6Qt and that would mess up my buying 3gal for 2 changes.
Which leads to my second question. Doing 60% city 40% hwy driving, could I take this oil/filter combo out to 10k between changes?

You could get a sample pump to extract out just enough oil to get tested. Or another thing you could do is get a Fumoto drain valve which will allow you to slowly drain out one quart into a clean container, then take the sample, then pour that one quart back into the engine.
