I got scared away from ST.
In a new car with 2200 miles I tried 5w20 ST. Dino and it blackened severely within 1400 miles and the Harstings LF240 oil filter was filled with a black jello and the drained oil looked like a coal black oil with rust color throughout.

I have never seen oil like that in 40 years of oil changing so I will never use it again.

Potentially! I'd definitely test these for extended OCI.

This too...I tested ST at 5k and it was still good. 10k might be possible.

Add to those some Redline, Schaeffer's and Royal Purple, regular M1, PPPPP(or however many Ps there are in the super Pennzoil synthetic) and then compare with VWB and PYB.

I think that might cover all the popular oils as well as extended drain ones, and give you several years' worth of testing.

I plan to use M1EP with Fram Ultra XG3717 in my daughter 2014 Accord for 2 OCI's, I will reset the OLM when it went down to 10-15% without changing oil and filter, only change it on the next 10-15%.

You're thinking about extend OCI beyond recommended in the owner manual but don't know which oil to use. I am planning to do the same and use M1EP. This is just telling you that I believe M1EP can be used for longer than 15k miles they advertised.

If you don't want anybody posts anything you don't like to hear then you shouldn't post anything in the first place.

Sorry it was a bit rude but if you look that post was not to you.
It was to the guys who cried out that I should tell the next owner.
I guess they didn't get that I'm using the best products possible and doing
a UOA every filter change and if it goes south both the filter and oil will get ripped out ASAP and replaced with utmost care.

People here at times just don't get it.
So, sorry you felt slighted but I appreciate your feedback as all but the trolls!

I received the MG filters today.
Very nice display and well packed with fast service.
The cans are very robust steel.
Double the thickness of the LF240 Hastings and stronger than the Ultras

I was a little surprise to read your first response right after my post. I may not clearly posted what I mean, but it was in the same ballpark about extend OCI to much longer than recommended using the best parts(oil and filter) we think they are.

Everything is okay, once in a while we misunderstood one another, in this case the order of postings was the problem.

Thanks
Next week I'm on the road to testing. Still have not decided on the oil.
I have too many flavors to try.
