Everything looks really good. One thing that stands out is the virgin oxidation value of this oil is 23 and it's now 51. However the oil remains in grade, so I don't think it's an issue. Really low wear numbers. Looks great. (y)

For a truck that's impressive, hardly shedding any metal for almost a 12K service run! I'm getting the feeling these oils can probably go on for much longer than we're comfortable with.

I believe the virgin oxidation value is much higher than 23. The virgin value on my HPL 5w-40 HDEO is 40. 40 would make a lot more sense, which makes the normalized oxidation value around 10.

This oil would have no problems going to 20k miles and likely more. Fleets don't make money changing oil. Maybe run it longer next time?

i have to check to see how the trucks that idle and tow do at 12k before i bump the interval up. they’re all on the same interval.

GM vehicles seem to have minor copper in UOA so nothing out of the ordinary there. Ti at 3 ppm is interesting. Did you run Castrol previously? I know they use titanium. Could be from some engine parts though. Fe & others are really good for the mileage. The oil looks like it could've gone further but that is a personal choice. Good run!

IIRC this truck had 6.5 quarts M1 EP HM 0w-20 + 1.5 quarts HPL EC30 prior to this run.

I will most likely, once I finish 12 quarts PPPCEO & No VII that I already purchased.
Do I really need another purchase of the No VII's Gen3-equivalent for added timing chain protection?
This PCEO will protect & lubricate my chain real well and display most minimum shear level.

Even hints of Titanium showed up for this party. Lastly, your one quart of top-off may end right here. The HPL may be cleaning up around your rings and that job may be about finished.

i wouldn’t unless it will make you feel better about it. this truck is also in fleet service, cold started then driven hard, generally abused etc. the report still came back fantastic.

IMO for your theta’s i would do the PCEO 5w-40. probably my favorite of the PCEO line on paper. it makes the valve train of a cammed LS motor silent. the woman is already at 10k miles on her run of it in the Honda K24. just ordered some super car 5w-40 for my truck as there isn’t any emissions equipment left on it.

bottom line, PCEO 5w-40 or 5w-30 with the 40 being my recommendation.

Whole-fully agree on that, If you look at the spec sheet, the 5w-40 looks like a very good all year oil with plenty of projection. That viscosity index and HTHS is truly out of this world compared to the rest of the lineup at that selection!

I went with the Supercar version because I started to realize potential value and savings running these oils at 10k and I'm formerly a 3-5k drain interval kind of guy. They certainly earned my extra money as a kind gesture as I could've went with the regular PCMO 5w-40 instead.
