I see lunatics like that all the time on Craigslist. They're the ones who want $13,000 for a 3 year old Corolla!

thats because they can't bear to face the reality that they will have to take a loss.

you see it everywhere, people selling 5 year old pc's for the price of new ones because they don't want to take a loss.

the whole time they are trying to fleece someone the price of their product goes down further.

Old ladies hoard cats. Old men hoard cars (and oil). So when his old lady demands he sell it, he can legitimately claim that he's trying, but nobody wants to buy it.

I was thinking this dealer salesguy was (vengefully?) driving his boss to the poorhouse, listing stuff on ebay and nicking bossman for the listing fee (A % of initial price.)

Note to self: self, remember to list less than 4-yr old meticulously maintained '03 Sonata V6 with only 22k miles on eBay tomorrow A.M.

(sure hope the dumb thing sells before all the Our Benevolent Lady of Cuckoo's Nest Asylums realize who's gone missing...)

Maybe the Saturn was an experimental model with a Honda V-6?
Seriously, though, the opening bid prices on e-bay are often absurd. A 200K+ 15 yr old Accord, for example, is not a $3K car, regardless of what some price guide may say.
