2032 Li button batteries on Amazon not all created equally

The quickest/simplest test would likely be with using a 220 Ohm resistor to observe voltage sag under load, but this of course will not measure capacity:

The AI that wrote that article didn't think this part through:

Capacity Testing

For critical applications, measure actual capacity rather than estimating from voltage:
  • Fully discharge the battery through a known load while measuring total mAh delivered
  • Compare to original 220-240mAh specification
  • A battery with <70% of original capacity should be replaced

We always use AC Delco for 9V, AA, AAA. Never had an issue, seems to last long and never ever leaks. Great prices on the batteries, Amazon.

For the first time just yesterday, Wednesday I also ordered and received 2032’s which we use for a rather substantial amount of AirTags and whatever else

Let us know how they work out for you. I've been generally pretty happy with their AA/AAA cells, but the reviews on their 2032 cells seem a bit of a mixed bag - some people complaining of very short life.

I've bought their AAs and AAAs...both very good. Never tried the 2032s.

Sounds good I’ll try to remember this thread. We have a lot of devices that use them, including, get this, I kid you not, we have an AirTag on our dogs’s collar🥰 that has to be one of the most important too!!

We have AirTags on our key rings, we have AirTags in luggage when we travel, which is really cool because you could be sitting on a plane and see where your luggage is in the airport terminal!
We have them in our cars, my motorcycle, and whatever else. Oh yes, I also have a wallet with an AirTag holder !
So when we get bum batteries, we kind of know right away.

My wife takes charge of replacing the batteries when they get weak. 😀

Energizer from Walmart work for me - although I have paid more from AZ to just not forget. These are one thing I don’t feel good getting cheap online …
