When the fiat 500 initially re-released over 80% of pre-orders were for a manual transmission, unbelievably they turned down orders because they weren’t tooled for that, sadly the excitement and high demand didn’t last long.
Would love a manual transmission hybrid to replace my 2000 Insight, unfortunate it’s a Stellantis product
Even worse it’s basically a start stop car not a hybrid, manufacturers should stop using the word hybrid to describe vehicles as hybrid because hybrid is a death sentence in the us in areas that tax the crap out of them.
Fiat is going to have to do something. They only sold wait for it.... 522 vehicles in Q1 2025. A hybrid might get people in a seat as the 500e's range is abysmal for 2025. It'll be iffy for them to bring the hybrid over. If they do I have strong doubts that the 6 speed manual will make it here.
And state+federal is slated to charge you an extra $400/year on registration if the title says it’s a hybrid, even though other non-hybrid cars are almost guaranteed to get better fuel economy.
