We are totally in love with this car! The W124 diesel is truly remarkable.

The build is tops. Heavy, solid, secure, not underpowered or overpowered; just the right balance.

The mighty OM602 (2.5L 5 cylinder turbo) is astonishing in its power, torque, fuel economy and ease of maintenance. I love the simplicity of mechanical fuel and injector pumps. Once it’s running the only way to shut it off is to cut off the fuel.

The car just devoured the miles.

It’s funny. Many folks wouldn’t be able to safely drive this car, apparently they need hundreds of hp and a sub 6s 0-60 to safely merge and pass.

That said, I totally agree. Perfect balance, runs like a top. Like a well oiled machine, literally. Just the right amount of mechanical connection and feel of the machine. Smooth and perfect.
