2025 Toyota Crown Signia

Hatchback vs. Sedan.
Exactly, I still don't understand why anyone would buy a sedan. I've owned a couple sedans and they are inferior in every way to a hatchback. I'd pick a Prius over a Camry 10 times out of 10. But I'd also take a RAV4 every time over a Prius, because its bigger and more capable. Mpg is not a priority for me. Utility first.

IMO the Venza was a confused vehicle. Lacked many features and had many you would not expect in the base model. Had minimal storage in the front seat areas. The powertrain was great. The driving experience, meh. Too many nannies. Mine leaked water from the bottom door seal when driving even in moderate rain. Told me something wasn't right. Glad the Maverick came in when it did.
Yeah I was never impressed. And $45-55k for this new one is meh…

45-55K isn’t bad. Base RAV4 hybrid is mid 30’s now.
A lot of money for a 2.5L Toyota hybrid. I don’t see the redeeming qualities over other vehicles, but that’s just me.

I havent been in one or seen one in person, so indeed I’m quick to judge.

My brother has a fancy RAV4 hybrid. I wouldn’t buy one of those either.

I would consider a hybrid sienna if a number of close friends didn’t have multiple issues.

. I am not fond of Toyota's name for it though. Why attach the "Crown" name to it? The Crown has always been Toyota's highest-end luxury sedan. It doesn't make any sense to me.
I thought the Toyota Century was Toyota's highest end luxury sedan...

I just saw one of these online "2025 Toyota Crown Signia Review: First Drive" and it actually has some analog buttons. Yay!!! Looked at JD Powers and saw this -- " Likely due to the Limited's 21-inch wheels, you'll feel sharper bumps in the road," UGH!!!!! What is with all the **** big wheels and low profile tires. The main #1 reason we are looking at cars is because of my wife's cancer induced perpherial neurapothy pains. I've nixed so many cars because of the tires. This falls under my engineer buddy who says this when we work on our cars, "I hate engineers." :) To me on an SUV type / crossover, or whatever, anything 45 and under as a tire is low profile.

Except hm......does it allow a 55 and will the dealers re-program the computer to match the tires?

We were set on getting the Lexus RX500h F Sport for the wife. We test drove it and really liked it but were in a time crunch that day. The next day, just for grins, we stopped by the Toyota dealer to see if they had any Land Cruisers. I didn't even know what a Crown Signia was at this point. It caught our eye immediately and well, we drove home in a Limited... Sure, the RX500h was nice, but the gap didn't justify the 26k difference in price for what we would be getting in our view. The Signa was smoother and still have plenty of power considering the 240/360 HP difference. Absolutely impressed with this car so far.

I prefer a larger wheel/tire combo on a vehicle, so I went straight to the Limited. The XLE's they had on the lot had 19's with the partial machined aluminum pain scheme. Plus, we prefer the solid darker wheel with not machined surface. Nothing looks worse to me than a dinky wheel and large tire, unless I'm off roading ;).
