Not a fancy or crazy fast vehicle, but since my use is different than it used to be, I am looking for input.

2023 Acadia, 2.0T. 50/50 highway/city. Maybe 10k miles a year.

I am likely going to step up to M1 5w30, changing at 5k intervals. Delco filter.

Any suggestions on the oil? Something I haven’t thought of?

Thanks.

ANY reputable brand Dexos 1 gen 3 oil is a very good oil. Even Walmart brand. I think you need to use 5W30 though to get that rating. If you feel better about Mobil 1 then by all means use it. I suspect the rest of the car will fail before the engine (excepting cam chain drive and intake deposits) Intake deposits if you do not have both fuel injection and direct injection you will get them. I would recommend a good catch can serviced regularly. It might help. The 5K oil changes will help. The cam chain, they could make the chain and sprockets wider and more robust. But they don’t. Oil has very little to do with it.

Would you consider Hello Kitty motor oil?
