Here is the UOA of the Transit Connect ULV. It was half OE and half Valvoline with Red Lubegard with 20k on the fluid and 40k on the unit. This van is a fleet vehicle loaded with ~1,000 lbs of stuff in the back so that's why I'm doing 20k intervals.

Yeah it's super easy to do so why not? These transmissions are known to grenade so hopefully 20k OCI will help some.
Ford's "Connect" model seems to be positioned towards "Commercial" use and I'd imagine there are many out there working very hard. Although there may be some OEM quality issues like you stated & I know nothing about this transmission. Generally, You are doing the right thing here to keep up on fluid maintenance to get the most lifespan out of this transmission. Thanks for sharing!
I have 10 in the fleet at work, so far I've lost 2 transmission between 80-85k. Replacement is $8k. Also lost an engine at 88k they wanted $9k to replace, these things are nightmares.
Did you service them well? I'm doing 20k transmission services and 5k oil changes.
We're not doing 20k transmission services, I'd have to go back and look to see if the transmissions had the factory fill or not. The engine was a head gasket, dealer wouldn't just replace the head gasket saying the head and/or block were likely warped even though it hadn't overheated. Sent that one to auction instead of repairing it.

For a Fleet truck this makes sense.
The important thing is trending. Hopefully, the wear metals will trend downwards as you get further away from the run-in period.
