Alright guys, quite a few people asked me for this and I said I would post it as soon as it came in, and it just came in!

Generac RG027-QS 27kw (25kw on NG) Standby Generator with a 2.4L Mitsubishi 4G64 running at 1800RPM. Generator is liquid cooled

Used Kirkland 5W-30 Synthetic and the OE Generac Filter

Ran for 6 days, 6 hours and 37 mins during Hurricane Beryl. I stopped a day before the power came back and changed the oil, as I was on 168 hours. 138 was all in 1 run from Beryl, and 24 hours was from the Houston Derecho a month or so before

Generator did great!

Plotted out by hours aluminum is trending further down to insignificance and not a concern. A little surprised BS didnt recognize that in their comments. It ended right at the lower end of 5w30 with viscosity. You timed it perfectly in regards to shear. Much appreciated sharing the data.

Thanks, yeah I noticed that too. I also do wonder if this has more crud from break in that never made it out. This change was HOT as I didn't want to be down too long, so it really ran out of there fast

On these Generacs the drain tube has to go over the frame, so I'm not 100% sure you can always get every drop of oil

This is 5W-30 but Generac actually updated the owners manual to spec 5W-20! I keep running 30W

Very nice report. Maintain it well and you will get thousands of hours from it.

From what I understand, that is a very reliable engine, and is generally spec'd for just about any oil. From 0W-40 up to 15W-50 in its various applications. Does Mitsu ever spec a 0W-20 in it?

Also, fantastic setup!

We've had a decent amount of rain this year, so its staying nice and green. A lot of crabgrass in there though, doesn't look too bad when its mowed

The last 2 years were horrible, super dry. So this year is a welcome. The drains really helped too, water would pool before and kill of the lawn
