I am deeply saddened by this. Betty White has made me laugh (and cry) for decades. I was watching her just last night on an old sitcom, Hot in Cleveland, one of the very few television shows that would cause me to laugh out loud. Most times it was Betty who caused the laughter.

She was a pioneer in television, first appearing on air in 1939! at 1 years old!
