2021 Chevy Duramax L5P - 200 miles on oil/2,700 total vehicle miles - baseline UOA

I sampled the HPL 5w-40 after 200 miles to establish a baseline for UOAs going forward. We'll get better data on actual wear if we know how much Fe, Al, Pb, Si, etc. the fresh oil picked up from the OEM oil. I will sample again at 5,000 miles.

This is HPL's brand new HDEO formula.

No, not with 200 miles. I did change the factory filter when I dumped the factory oil at 2,500 miles.

I’ll be watching this thread closely for updates. I had a nice conversation on the phone with Dave today and am 98% sure this will be my next fill in my 17 6.7 PSD. Dave is a very nice guy and willing to explain their products in great detail!

Looks like good oils, but seems a tad pricey to me compared to everything else.
