2020 Ford Escape factory filter

My friend that works at dealer near me bought a 2020 Ford Escape while back. This factory filter and oil has 6,443 miles on it. Tiny to say the least. Put some Edge 5w20 and tough guard 3614 in and back on.

mann, purolater, now wix, its all the same company...

Correct, but Mann's own filters sold under the Mann name usually have that distinct white ADBV, a base plate with 4-5 holes that are gumdrop-shaped, and that center tube with the round holes. They are mostly made in Germany, with some exceptions.

While Mann has been consolidating some Mann, Wix, and Purolator filters, the factory filter in the OP has telltale signs of being of original Mann origin. Also remember that Ford factory filters are deliberately different than the Motorcraft filters you buy from the dealer or parts store. Those Motorcrafts are Purolator and will be of a different design than the factory Mann, even though they are the same company.
