2020 f150 2.7 2wd 10R80, won’t shift out of park and won’t light up the brake lights. Brake switch was easy to replace so I did it to just try and see but no change. Anyone else experience this sort of issue?
Where would you go from here? Very odd issue!

The Brown/Red wire exits the BCM at pin 17 of the C2280C connector, Might want to disconnect C2280C & inspect for corrosion.

If all looks good.....Remove the top shroud of the connector so you can pack probe pin 17 & see if it has 12vdc.....If it does, The problem is between the BCM & stop lamp switch.
If it's reading the same 1vdc....Could be a bad connection at pin 17 (Terminal), Bad spot on the circuit board, Bad connection at the fuse.

Yes if you have power at both ends of fuse 14 but not at the brown/red wire at the brake pedal switch, there must be a break in the circuit. It should be a direct connection.

The BCM controls both the brake lights and the shift out of park interlock. When the pedal is pressed, the purple/white wire should go live (fed from the brown/red wire) and send a signal back to pin 1 of the BCM. This, however, does not directly energize the brake lights.

I’m wondering if it has a bad bcm. It’s done some weird stuff before where most of the electrics in the truck didn’t work. Gauges, radio, window etc. I also have a bunch of warning messages for hill assist front camera and brake system warnings.

The BCM is in a bad spot in my opinion, I've seen more than one with signs of water intrusion.

Might want to unhook the battery & unplug all the BCM connectors then reconnect them.

I wouldn't be so quick to condemn ANY module without further diagnosis. The BCM simply doubles as a fuse box....

Funny you say that ours had the insulation all soaking wet. Bcm didn’t look wet but the floor was very wet. It has rubber floors so we didn’t notice it. I guess I need to find the source of water intrusion as well. 🙄

I have power at the bcm but…… even if I use a jumper wire to the brake switch from the bcm nothing changes. I’m not sure if the wiring diagram’s are missing information or if I’m just missing something but it doesn’t add up!

You have power coming out of the BCM on the brown/red wire?

The schematic shows fuse 14 connected directly to pin 17 and the brown/red wire. If that circuit is open the BCM must be faulty. And if water got in there are probably other things wrong with it as well.

If there is power from the BCM but it is not reaching the brake pedal then there's a problem with the wire itself or a terminal at either end.
