Using the amsoil dual bypass setup that I added with the first change on the report. It’s mounted under the drivers side door. That and the Fumoto drain valve make changes and sampling simple.
Whoever put the oil filter and oil fill where they did should be made to work in a quick lube place for eternity...
I bought a locking funnel off Amazon to help with fill that conveniently fits my BMW.
First change on the report is Valvoline 5w40 and then I swapped to T6.
Sample at 25k miles (7k on oil)
Sample and change at 28.6k (just under 11k on oil)
Towed 7k pounds about 15% of the time and daily drove 60 miles per day otherwise.
Couple minor things. I added a quart and a half at the previous sample based on usage and draining a quart for the sample, and not sure why they didn’t add miles on the oil? Both were on my form.
Probably swapping back to the Valvoline extreme blue 5w40 at the next change. Higher TBN with slightly lower viscosity. Might actually try that in my BMW...
