2018 Ram 2500 with 21k miles. Delo 400 XSP 5w40

I bought the truck with 16800 miles and immediately changed the oil to Delo 400 XSP 5W40 synthetic. I put 6k on the oil. Most trips are 15 to 20 miles to and from work. Occasionally pull 6k trailer. A little worried about copper but truly hope its what they suggest. What do you Pros think?

Just guessing that the engine is still new and maybe short trips.

My Duramax had higher copper, I believe from the oil cooler. It came down after the next few uoas. I wouldn't be worried.

The materials will wash out with a few more changes most likely.

Eh, keep an eye on it but I wouldn't panic at this point. You've got a few more miles than me but we're in a similar truck.

With my 2018, I dumped my factory fill at 1k miles and copper was high (of course) at 31ppm.

Then, 3k miles later, it was down to 8ppm (changed before a big trip) and on the third change at only 8k miles I was down to 2ppm.
